Very cool! Last year I only made a few bikes myself and only one was detailed ... I don't remember if I uploaded it or not it's called "Stray Cat" because the cylinders are Caterpillar bolts.

The weight doesn't bother me ... I should have used 316 but I didn't have any ... not sure what grade stainless it is ... I don't wear it for very long at a time.

I found a piece of 1/8" plate and put it on top of an old workmate table then attached a vise with another plate w/ a 90 degree angle that I set in the vise for smaller work pieces then I put painted...
Just go out into the shop start rummaging through scraps and see what fits together ... it's a skill you will develop as you do it.
