Hi Mark, not sure if you saw my last questions on which one to get. Thanks Brian
Sounds good, the PT80 would be too big for the PP205 right? Do I need the 'threaded' or 'central' version? Anything else needed to make the PT connect to the 205..I don't see a picture of the PT-60...
Is the PT60 considered a better torch? It looks like you lose the pilot arc function? Trying to figure out if I would need the threaded version or not...what is the DINSE connector...don't see that...
What is being used? Is there an upgrade I can get for this machine?
The S45 plasma gun looks like it came stock with the .9 tips, I see the .8 tips are very common, not so much with the .9 Any issue with using a .8 tip? What would it change?
Can you use drag...
I agree, I've run across that too wondering what the solution was ... even if it was a miss on my part. I was getting pretty good at making Christmas tree looking welds. Pretty happy with the...
Ok, it was the loose 'nut' behind the helmet. Got to looking at it and popped the inner lens out to find it had a shaded protective coating on it....pealed that off an it works fine.
Thats true! Thanks, I do a search for something like that.
Thanks!
Any suggestions on good lighting (trouble lamps)?
Getting back into welding, got one of the Northerntool autodarkening helmets to try. It has sensitivity and shade settings. Went to do some mig welding and I am having a very difficult time seeing...
Ya, got that one memorized, I'm also an EMT....glad I didn't have to call everyone I know to come out...never live that down.
No doubt!!
I'll try that. Its a 16' wide broccoli trailer, had to disconnect from the tractor so it wasn't hanging out in the road. Been working on it for 2 days like that, added the last new crossmember and...
Ya the wall mount rack would be strictly for wood, I'll make the two mobile carts out of metal to handle a fair amount of weight.
I may have had the amps up too high and probably only had the air at 60 at the regulator (not flowing). I didn't have a big enough hammer to work through my anger management issues :D . Of course...
I was trying to cut the welds holding the round bar to the square tube, trying to to cut into the square tube below. I'm guessing its because cutting throught the weld you were into where the two...
I saw that rack from Woodcrafters, are you happy with its capacity and adjustability?
Sounds like that is it exactly
Absolutely, for the metal rack I would sure do this
Anyone made any mobile racks for scrap metal or wood? I was thinking of something like the flat carts you find at Lowe/Home Depot with 1000lb casters.
The wood rack - maybe a couple U frames...
I was trying to repair trailer and needed to cut off a 5/8" solid rod, bent in a V that holds chains going to a pivot, off of a piece of 3/8 square tube. The rod is laying flat on the surface of the...
Anyone use one of these? Wondering how well you like it and how well it is constructed?
