Same thing here bubba! I was suppose to receive my welder sometime this week after the shipping label was created on 11/16 (and listed the date of arrival as 11/19 "by the end of the day"). I wrote this week off as a loss due to the holiday. Hopefully next week the Thanksgiving elves will finally have time to send our welders off!Quote:

I ordered a PP50 Wednesday evening the 21st, ups label was generated. So it's sit sitting with Oleg. The only thing UPS was shipping/delivering Friday was next day air packages. So mine won't ship till the 26th and maybe delivered around the 3rd or 4th. Last year when I ordered a 140st it got delayed because of a flood we had around here. So the way my luck goes, the PP50 will most likely get caught up in a blizzard somewhere between Ca and Pa.

I ordered two welders and the shipping label was generated 11/16 saying delivery 10 days later on the 26th, but UPS never takes 10 days to ship anything. Unfortunately the tracking number still doesn't show them at the UPS facilities as of the 25th ??????
I hate to say it but its common for businesses to generate a shipping label as soon as the boat from China shows up on radar and then take a week or so to unpack and ship. This keeps people quiet and makes them think UPS is the holdup. Hopefully this is not a game like that and I'll happily post if the welders do acttually show up tomorrow. After years of shipping I will confirm that Thanksgiving can certainly delay packages.
what does you tracking says exactly ? label generated or picked up on 16th ? It takes us 8hr to unload two containers and ship them same day out . I have no idea where you getting your info on unloading time and making labelsQuote:

I ordered a torch week before last, got label, said 21st, UPS got it Thursday I think, then it sat there with no update on location, but new ship date of today. Talked to my UPS guy, apparently they did jack squat Thurs-Sun this week. It's been sitting in the local destination since Wednesday. Hell, even the trash guys came on Friday, UPS really couldn't deliver ground Fri or Sat? I got air shipments Friday... (nothing against Everlast, my rant is all about UPS). Just because you don't see updates doesn't mean it isn't moving, once they have it, I've seen a week go by without updates then there's like 5 destination/departure entries in one afternoon.

Lately I've been choosing USPS or Fed Ex when available, even paying the extra dollar or three. Seem to be much faster and more reliable to where I'm at. They also break less stuff.
ups does have a tendency to "drop" ship.... and I tend to get free"air" delivery with most items...Thrown through the air up on to my front porch. pun's intended.:mad:
Yes ups is a little in a mess, I have some parts coming from Canada delivery date 11/26/12 and they just disappeared last week and are nowhere to be found.
I had two neighbors who worked for UPS, one on the line and one in loss prevention. NEITHER would order anything that was shipped UPS, they'd pay extra for any other shipping method or order from somewhere else online... Kinda reminds me of not eating at restaurants or fast food places the employees won't eat at.

Well, good news and bad news (for me anyways). The good news is the welder arrived in it's packaging completely undamaged and looking (and smelling) like brand new. The bad news is I didn't get a foot pedal with this unit. The Ebay auction was supposed to include a free ($119) foot pedal if the "Buy It Now" feature was used (which it was). I emailed the seller through Ebay, so we'll see. Hopefully this is something that can be taken care of without me having to whine, pout, kick, scream, cry, or name-call. Not that I would ever resort to those kinds of things. Hell, for all I know they sent the pedal out as a separate package....Continuing to think positive thoughts!:)

This makes it interesting m My welder is about 12 miles from me and has been there since yesterday afternoon , I was about 600 feet from it Friday picking up parts in Lenexa Ks next to the UPS terminal where it is. The package i sent to CA Tuesday via Fedex arrived to the buyer on Friday, sounds like everything made it OK.
