The UPDATED line of welders and then some...

Well,
Its been a long time coming for some of you. You've wanted to see them. You wanted to know what they look like. So, here they are...Paint still cooling. :)

This isn't the complete line as we are adding products to our Power I-MIG and adding 2 dedicated stick welders to the product line up.

But you can get the idea. We have tried to unify our product line in layout and function so that less confusion over operation will exist...though there may be some still...there always is.:rolleyes: We will try to make the wait and anguish time as short as possible. We estimate 2weeks before they ship from CA. Possibly 3...just trying to be on the safe side.

It has taken a bit longer to make some changes, thanks to a two week chinese holiday, a couple of our own and some serious hard work to get it right. But we feel it is better to wait a little longer to get things right. We have added a few features such as a lift arc on the 250 EX, and a post flow timer on the Power plasmas which will allow you to adjust post-flow cooling to increase consumable and torch life, and a couple of other features that will improve overall function of the welders.

We, of course, will be continuing to improve our welder line and fine tune our products to meet and surpass our customers expectations.

We will soon have another major announcement/introduction as far as our welder line goes though it is a little ways out and about to enter the testing phase. So stay tuned.....

Here are a couple more.

Looks good. Are the knobs different colors to signify what their usage is for, ie. green for AC, blue for plasma, yellow for DC, etc.? Not like I know what the colors are assigned to but just asking. :confused:

The color grouping is for easy identification. We have added a couple of non cosmetic changes as well...Which is why we have gotten a little more delayed than we were planning originally. The 250 EX has a lift arc start added for the Tig...

Green are generally adjustments related to the panel control of the weld cycle.
Red are amperage related.
Yellow are AC.
Blue are pulse.
Black switches are function selectors.

These are standard colors we have picked in our fist generation to represent our functions and should make it easy for the new welder to "learn" the product.

I know the green arc force control is not amperage coded, but it should be for final delivered product. These are the first "proofs" that we received before final assembly. So, we have taken a couple more steps in making the arrangement of the knobs and features more finely tuned.

Wow, quite a styling change.

I like the addition of "lift-start" TIG on the 250EX.

I'm saving my pennies.

whats the benefit of having 'lift start' vs. high freq. start?

The lift start will eliminate interferance problems associated with HF starts. It is generally used for steel and all DC purposes. But it is not used on AC because of contamination of the tungsten that is involved with aluminum.

To lift start, you simply place the electrode on the metal and gently lift up with "power" on pedal to ignite arc.

It also makes tig welding more friendly to pacemaker patients or people with computers, or sensitive electronic equipment nearby.

I have one on order now and can't wait to get it!

We have a couple of last minute updates on a unit or two that has held up the entire shipment. But, we want to make sure they are done as specified. Nothing major, mostly convenience items...but unfortunately when you ship in container quantities, a small improvement can hold the whole shipment up.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you could apply Lean Manufacturing to your manufacturing cycle.

The challenge of the process of bringing updates and improved ideas, and specification changes is a great one. We can make specificaitons, but at times, we are at the factories mercy for scheduling. We communicate daily, but we are on a 12 hour time difference. So, communication is often delayed. Even night time emails, im's, pm's, and phone conferences are not enough to get things done on OUR time schedule. The factory is extremely reliable, and a high quality factory,but Chinese culture, language differences (Usually their English is fairly decent, but it is often the Kings English if you know what I mean) comes to play in our process. Also, a new factory is to be completed by the first of the year, so it has slowed down current manufacturing to be ready for transition to the new facility.

Well, its time to piddle out a couple more photos.

THIS is our new line of stick welders. These have the works as far as adaptive arc force control technology/hot start etc, and even have a special port to burn those dreaded 6010's. We can also offer special add on Tig packages as a simple scratch start tig for DC.

did everlast update the migs? if so do you have any pics of them?

We have updated and brought out different amperages. We have a panel front similar to others, but the look of them remains similar except the panel front. Our 250 amp unit is much different. It is a roll around unit with spot and stitch timer control.

Any chance of getting the dimensions of the "new" Powermaster 205? I had ordered one back in February and built a cart to hold it and my MIG25OD and by looking at the pics of the new model may have just wasted a lot of time lol.

If I could get those dimensions I might be able to modify it to make it all work.

I will get you the exact dimensions soon. Tommorow. maybe...lol...Yes, I will get you specs. I just picked up the "air shipment" of advance units for an event to be announced next week. The others are in transit, but I will work on getting dimensions Sunday afternoon.

Stay tuned, we might have a suprise or two yet to post. We can't let our lurking competition know too much too soon. But indeed, there are things on the way, not talked about and not posted yet..intentionally. It seems our competition has a knack for showing up with a knockoff of our products about 3 months after we debut or even discuss it publicly, and then claim them as their own, even our manuals they have copied, cut and pasted word for word. We are learning not to give away all our secrets until we are good and ready. Don't believe me? Watch wait, and learn.

I promised a new reveal soon....Here is our new Power I MIG 250 P. Yes, folks that's right, state of the art pulse Mig technology with 250 amps. Its roll around as you can see. It will hold a full size bottle of Argon and a full 40 lb roll of wire. It uses a name brand Mig Gun, known for its ergonomic feel. It also has burn back, and arc force control to round out the pulse features.

Also posted is the all new (previously mentioned) PowerARC 200. It is a full 200 amp DC welder with Hot start technology and automatic arc force control. It also has a special "6010" hole for those of you welders that know what one is.
Its extremely compact, but is perfect for about any onsite job repair or fabrication. It is designed to run with generators, as long as the power is fairly clean, so that it makes about any field repair a snap.

Also, we are revealing the PowerMaster 256 for the first time...which nearly mirrors the 250 EX in features and performance, although you do sacrifice the lift start capability for the additional feature of the plasma cutter. Also not included is the spot timer function....We had to have a little room for the plasma circuit, but it is as near as we can get to the EX with a 60 amp plasma built in.

If you think that all we have to introduce, then you are wrong. We still have at least two or possibly 3 more things in the works that you will have to wait another week to find out.

The Power I-MIG 160:

It is a nice little MIG/Stick machine...That's right, it features MIG and Stick capability. Again, it features a genuine name brand Mig Gun. It is very compact and will still hold a 11-12 lb spool of wire. By special order, you can get special Flux core drive rolls. It has a 135 amp rated performance at 35% duty cycle with a 60 % duty at 100 amps...more than enough for the typical home or pro garage fabrication or repair. It also has a spool gun port to provide the special "aluminum" capability that so many think can only be done with Tig. The spool gun can carry a wide range of wires, including stainless so that it makes welding expensive metals more economical and convenient.

Now tell me what is the big difference between the PM-226 and PM-256 since the spot timer function and lift start was droped??:confused:

They will begin to be shipped as soon as they come in. They are on the water and have been about a week and will be here soon.

The 226 lacked several of the features of the new 256.

Now the 256 has all of the current and timer presets of the EX, including identical pulse, and frequency ranges. The 256, since it is a combination machine is not targeted to the typical consumer that would use it in conjunction with a spot welder, so it was left off. Also the Lift start feature was not considered to be a absolutely necessary feature since it is in a select few areas that a lift start is needed, and space inside the machine is limited.

Can you send me the sheets for the 200DX, 225LX, and the 250EX?

Also, I don't know the all-in-one models, but can you send me the specs on the 200AMP and the 250AMP all-in-ones?
