Description of the Erection

Come on guys, cant we get a better manual than that poor chinese translation that came today in my 200DX?

One section is entitled "description of the erection" and the next one is "Sketch Sketch the Panel Function"

other highlights:

"steel material can be omnibearing welding in all positions"

"it's a advance IGBT technology welding machine and save the power"

My question is, is there a manual written or translated by a native english speaker that would be easier for us speakers of american english to understand?

I know that's a funny title, but it's not good for this forum with the various search engines.

The fact is we could have our own Manuals downloaded and placed in each box for our Customers . And we likely will, It is something that should be done and is in fact long over due.
The Manuels are actually written by The owner of the Factory and he is in fact very proud of this accompishment , but regardless of how pleased he may feel about this i was in fact scheduled to have these changes made a couple of weeks ago but with the workload i had at the factory and Christmas coming so fast it was neglected on my part.
Just one more item i need to put on my list of to do,s to take care of in February when i am back working on getting the new models and accessories sorted out.

i saw that manual, but figured that couldn't be it due to there being an older outdated model pictured on the cover. the current 250EX pictured on the website does not look like that one pictured, and is a different shape. And my 200DX looks nothing like the one pictured in the manual, i figured if the photo of the machine on the manual was of an older design, i sure would not think i would trust the manual to be applicable to my current model machine. My machine is totally different from the one pictured in the manual, different knobs and switches.

The left shows the 200DX from the online manual, the right photo shows the currently shipping model.

I think a bit of updating to teh site and the packaging of the equipment is really in order. That is the primary thing that still makes these things obviously imported.

I get nothing but a blank pdf from that link... tried it 3 times.

Not sure what to tell you on that one??

This is available on the Manuals download part of teh webpage. It is listed as November 2009 version.

It opens fine for me, both from the website and from the copied link that I posted.

Maybe it's something on my end but all the other ones open perfectly. This one is blank every time.

Thanks man, that one is much better. I will get a copy printed out on thick paper at Staples and have something to read while collecting the parts (plugs, tungsten, etc...) needed to get this working. Thanks for pointing me to it.

Has anyone changed out the torch on the 200DX to a thinner one? what kind should I look for? I dont need a water cooled one, but i want one with a flex head. What kind of tungsten assortment should i get to start?

If you go to our Everlast home page (www.everlastwelders.com) or any "non forum" page off our website, you will see there's a "RED" MANUALS button in the upper right corner of every page. Most companies selling electronics keep their updated software and manuals on the internet these days. It is a very common practice. Same as having a forum. Also, I assure you Mark and I only write in English.

This RED button will take you to where the older and current manuals are stored. Future manual updates will be there as well if you need them. Some manual date back to units we no longer sell though the knobs still perform the same functions.

I switched to the water cooled wp20 flex head and love it, if you dont need the water cooled, you would probably like the wp9 flex head.

Nah, I didn't need the manual, I just wanted to look at it... No biggie.

Adobe seems to have a slight glitch in it for me, and it largely appears blank until I start scrolling....Sometimes I have to hit the X and the restart the load and then it will show up...That is on other sites where I have experienced a similar issue.

I'm using FFv and only the one pdf is affected.
