I like enco since has reviews on there stuff think a band saw should be at least 1hp to hold up and do heavy stuff cutting
Sorry to hear about your problem with the Grizzly band saw. I had a Delta brand 4x6 and the blades would fall off or break constantly. I purchased the 7x12 band saw at Harbor Freight last Easter while it was one sale with a 25% off coupon and got it for $599 out the door. I can cut thick stainless steel bar like its butter and haven't had any problems with it yet. The longer taller blade helps with making cuts that are only few thousands thick and I've yet to use the cooling pump or replace the stock blade.
