server is up
I have been a member for awhile except i had to return my supercut 50 back for warranty repairs as it seems to be the norm with that machine. It was the over current issue. I wouldn't recommend the supercuts to anybody. Spend a few dollars more and get the power plasma models and up.
Old saying is you get what you pay for! Plus I hate to say but they are made in _ _ _ _ _!
I traded up to the PP50. It only took about 6 months to do, but I got it today UPS. I'll post reviews as i go. I have a hypertherm 1000 also and the PlasmaCam Samson 510. I cut metal art designs and anything else someone might require as in auto parts or race car parts etc.
I will be trying out the PP50 in place of the hypertherm to compare the two? I wanted one for my PlasmaCam DHC table but sold it to a guy in California as I was waiting for them to ship me this unit. On its last leg in transit being shipped by SAIA trucking they LOST IT!!!? It made it all the way across the country to its last transfer and the truck driver said it wasn't on his truck??? And the buyer didn't want insurance and he was responsible for the shipping but PayPal said it didn't matter and refunded him his money. I have written documents where the buyer signed that he was responsible and din't want insurance? But it didn't matter!
By the way I am starting late in this contest as its already the end of June and this is my first post. # 1
I will be posting pics of all my projects.....
Count me in!! this makes my count 1
also connt me in
I wanted to try to convert my stick welder to a tig machine... I will be looking into a power pro-256 soon. What kept me from going with the home made unit is that I will want to be able to weld aluminum also..
Welcome to the forums!
Certainly no one would fault you for DIYing a stick welder into a TIG machine... but if you can afford it, the difference in capabilities would be about the same difference between a bicycle and a race car!
Sounds like a good contest. Post number 1!
count me in work has finally slowed down and will be able to post agian

So, the contest is officially over. I will get together all the qualifiers over the next 24 hours or so....I'll have to go and take a look at some of the projects and posts just to keep everyone honest...Then Oleg will draw out the winner and we'll announce it.
IF everyone that entered, wants to sum up their qualifying post count and projects here, it will be easier and quicker...I'll still run through them all, but it will help.
Thanks, and much appreciation to all who participated....One thing for sure, the odds of someone winning a very nice prize is about as high as you could get. Someone is going to have a very nice unit very shortly in hand, that didn't cost them anything but a little time and effort.
Mark
