Looks like you are on the right track with some revisions. Double check the machining specs for the factory. The other thing could be the white seal between the cup and the torch body. It may be too thick, which would cause the same issue. Keep me posted on any changes.

Make sure to buy a standard collet body and a gas lens, both the correct size for the tungsten you will be using.
I didn't get a chance to try out a gas lens on the torch I sent you, as I didn't think about it untill the replacement torch showed up and had a similar gas issue. With a gas lens, the torch welds like butter.

I tried both the standard collet body and a gas lens on the 20 torch I bought here in Canada and neither seemed to give gas coverage. Hooked up the big 17 and it worked fine.
