If budget is not an issue. I would go with the EXT or EX machines. EX has a little more power, both weld about the same. EXT has a couple hidden setting that are nice. EX you see all the knobs are a glance, EXT is easy as well, as you normally will not move settings once dialed in.
Hope that did not confuse you. If nothing else, you can not go wrong with the flag ship 250EX. If you want simpler, 210EXT once you set the settings, basically, pick amps and AC/DC and go. I have and use both.
Ever day the job is different so I will go with the EX I like the ext but I can make the adjustmets faster I think, usally I go back and forth steel, aluminum, steel, Magnesium, stainless, aluminum thick thin maybe if they make a 250ext or bigger later on down the road I need the extra power sometimes. The only thing I don't like about all the new machine that is the inverter ones all Manufacture's when they over heat from duty cycle being pushed and shut down they turn the gas flow off and the tungsen burn up but the fan keep going to cool the machine down.
That would suck, it really should at the very least kick off the postflow timer, even if it doesn't do the downslope. Maybe an alarm set a few degrees before the duty cycle switch would be even better. That would be a nice feature.Quote:
