Will the torch and pedal package work with the PU205P?
:)
The PowerUltra 205 does not have 4T mode so it is not able to utilize the torch amp control. In addition the PowerUltra does not have the ability to limit the max amps on the panel when using the foot pedal. The foot pedal on this welder is from 0 to 200 amps
Cheers
Almost sold out on the new 200DX models . I probably will have none avaialable after this upcoming weekend and my next shipment is around 2 months away. dropped the ball on this one and did not order enought to get me through between orders.
cheers
First off, Duncan (and Jean) and his crew can ship one to you (everlastwelders.ca).
I just bought some blacked-out headlights from up that way (Canada), they still ship to the US.
I am sure we'll stock them, PM Oleg about it or email sales@everlastwelders.com.
The new PA160STH was designed by the everlastwelders.ca group. We will have them in stock next week. I myself have one on order :). It all takes time. But the price and product are right.
Yeah the inventory may be the issue if there's a lot of it. That may create the situation where older ones can be had for a little less money but no telling whether he's willing to give a deal on the new one at this time.
If not, I'll probably just wait until the new ones are readily available unless it's going to be 6 months or something.
is this new torch water cooled.and does everlast make a finger controlled torch that works just like a foot pedal does?
I can tell you Oleg will deal if we have a lot of stock on a model, he lives to sell. hahahaha. So it's an opportunity for a good price on a DX. We have sold tons for them and they work fine.
Far as the finger control, it works in place of the foot pedal. As far as I know, everlastwelders.ca has them and we do not. If we do, I will get on on the way to try out myself. I never use a foot pedal (something about doing TIG and upside down, damn pedal never seems to work), but that would be something I would try out.
haha--good to hear. I have so little experience with TIG, either would really work fine.
I'd still prefer the newer one, all else being equal. But I guess so would everyone else.
The way the old pedal used to work was the only real grumble I've read about the machine
