Good idea :)
Do you kayak cricks or rivers or lakes? We kayak anything 12 feet and wider, 3.5 inches deep or deeper.. haha. The waters with current are the best, all you have to do is paddle yourself straight not propel yourself ;D
Yeah, roof racks are pretty high up... We've strapped 5 boats on a ATV trailer before, didn't work so good. We used like 10 or 11 ratchet straps, you tighten down the first two, then the second two, finally tightening the fifth boat. By now the bottom boats are severely crushed under the weight/tension of three sets of straps...

No whitewater for us. Too old and fat ;). Flat water or class 1 to mild 2 only. I usually have a fishing rod strapped to the side. I prefer small creeks. I don't have to worry about getting run over by 60mph bass boats trying to catch those elusive rocket propelled fish.

Nice that's about what we do here in Iowa. No whitewater for us either. How are we supposed to enjoy our Evelast Plasma cutter drowned? haha! Yeah we generally stick to the creeks, we have allergies to exhaust fumes. We have the same reaction to carbon monoxide as normal people just more severe and it takes less of it to make us sick. So we try to avoid the busy boating weekends and such. Check out my FaceBook page (Kayaking Buddy Finder) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kayaki...40995672640952
Anybody else here on the forum kayak? Just "curious George" :D
Oh, BTW, the trailer weighs in at a reasonable, 648 pounds loaded. We are thinking of putting a piece of aluminum sheet to cover the front lower third of the trailer to save the boats from road rash.
