Hi from Minnesota!!!
Hi Folks! My name is Chris. 45 years old. Manufacturing engineer by trade. Grampa was a farmer, Dad owns an excavating company. Between the 2 of them, they had me cutting and welding by age 10 (real repairs, not playing) and yes, using the cutting head to braze and weld. Stick welding by age 11, and replacing heavy truck trannys (alone) by age 12. 6 months ago, I got the TIG bug bad, and ended up with a Linde UCC-305, great welder, but it's enourmous, and doesn't have AC freq. control, balance, or pulse. About 4 months ago, I ran across the EVERLAST line, and I've been totally interested in the line since. The plan I have in mind is to have my first EVERLAST machine within the next few weeks, and that decision is based on many many hours of research. Until then, I have tons of questions on many different welding subjects. Hoping that the fine folks on this forum can help out.

Welcome Chris,
Was using a Lincoln stick around 10 myself (hair over 50 now). But the welding world has changed a lot. Any questions you have, post up, if we do not get them our members will.

Welcome Chris!
Lots of good folks here. Sometimes you gotta prod folks here pretty hard to get them to comment but it 's usually worth the wait!
Best, Zoom

Chris,
Being new, might want to checkout the new contest we are having (first main thread). Your questions and posts can maybe generate some Everlast Bucks.
