Its only intended for our water cooler which has this connection, and is sized only for 220V and for a low amp output. Its a standard computer power plug.

I figured it was a low amp rated plug based on this size of the wires inside the box.
I was thinking that if I wired the cord right I could get 110V off of it.
Would be nice if these had a regular 110V outlet on the back as well.
Then we'd have people trying to run drills and grinders of this as an extension. Its not made to handle those and it would take a whole new rework.
bill, I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I want to try to run a small submersible aquarium pump I have as a cooler. if it works out I will wire it up to the plug in the back. the other option is to setup your cart with it's own set of outlets that the welder plugs into. with these outlets you can branch off a 110v plug to run pretty much anything you want directly from your welding cart!Quote:

Most of the aquarium pumps I see are air pumps.
look for power heads. I've got a couple leftovers from when I did saltwater aquariums. they are 295gph pumps that lift up to 69". there are lots of larger pumps out there that will push higher as well (higher lift height is more pressure) but the maxi-jet 1200 is what I have to try out. start with a bucket of water and go from there I guess.....Quote:

yeah that's the one. I don't know if it will be ideal. I'll have to check out the flow through the torch before I could recommend buying it. If I had to buy a pump specifically for a welder I would buy a larger one that pumps a bit more pressure. they are meant to run 24/7 for years in salt water
