PowerCool W300 = Bad A55 TIG Cooler

I ordered the PowerCool W300 last week and received it last Friday. I got it all setup right away and tested it out. All I can say is that it's Bad A55!

I can weld continuously and it never gets hot. The thickest scrap I have is 1/4 inch. I cranked the PowerTig 225LX up all the way and blazed almost full petal on the 1/4in steel. Fact is that the torch made my hand cooler than the rest of my body.

I highly reccomend this TIG Cooler for any TIG machine. You will be amazed and the performance difference. It's no fun to weld, while trying to finish that last weld and at the same time doing your best to ignore your hand burning up.

The cooler is very easy to setup and install, although there aren't any directions that come with it. Follow these steps for a fool proof install.
The cooler comes with 2 brass fittings that you will push into the ends of the water lines of the torch. They are the same style quick release fittings which are used for the gas line to the PowerTig and a barb on the other end. Use the included hose clamps to fasten the hoses, then you connect them to the cooler. The cooler side fittings have been color coded red and blue(hot/cold). The water line coming out of the twist lock(DINSE) fitting that connects to the PowerTig is the outlet(hot) which connects to the cooler(red/input) fitting, and simply the water line that runs into the sheath for the torch plugs into the cooler(blue/output) fitting.

Now you just fill the cooler with distilled water or the TIG coolant from your local welding shop. It will take just under 2gal. to reach the fill line that is easily viewed on the front of the cooler. Plug the power cable into the back of the PowerTig and turn the cooler(you don't need to run the PowerTig). If you leave the tank lid off you will start to see the water recycling back into the tank. You can run it for a minute or so to make sure all air is out.
Fire up your PowerTig and feel the difference. You now will have a cool to the touch of a baby's butt and can weld with more than 160amps safely.
Both the PowerTig and PowerCool W300 are very well thought out machines. I am very happy with my purchase and highly reccomend both to anyone looking for a new TIG machine or to replace another unit.

Froader , glad you like the cooler, mine really is nice as well , keeps the torch nice and cool. I went ahead and bought the W300 insted of building one , one can be built real easy but there is not a 5 year warranty on one you build plus the time for parts and fab is not worth the money to me.
It does make a nice project to build a cooler if someone wants to make one for sure but I needed mine for an aluminum job and didnt want to burn up a torch head before i could build one.
