Warranty question
Just wondering about warranty for machines purchased in Canada. Found a listing on kijiji that states 3 year on all our units. Then I pull up an American website that says 5 years warranty exchange. Am I missing something here ?
I am seriously considering the 250 EX but a 2 year difference in warranty can be a deal breaker for me.

You are not missing anything and you did read it correctly.
A three year Warranty is in fact a very good Warranty. And for us to offer the same 5 year warranty would put our Welders far higher in price than the US.
As it is each unit costs us more and shipping in Canada is far more expensive than the US.
If we where to put the same warranty on and price them accordingly we would be getting the Question Why are we so much more than the US.
So really we can not win in this regard.
But offering a 3 year Warranty when most give a 1 year in my opinion is a Very good aproach to this.

The fact that there is a difference in warranty should not be a factor that stops you. Many companies have warranties that vary from Country to County, region to region, state to state, application to application. 3 year warranty IS the standard welder warranty offered by the industry. Its considered to be quite good. In reality, if it makes it to the 3 year mark, the "odds" are quite high it will make it to the 5 year mark and beyond....typical of electronics.
