Just got the new 185 ac/dc machine.....the gas solenoid quit working.....Any body else had this issue???? Im thinking i wana pop the cover and look for a loose wire.....it worked great the two or three times i played with it...then bam.....What sucks is i talked my boss into getting this over the blue or red camp....Mark...any suggestions....???

I like the idea of the newest PT 185, being digital, having a few added features, for its compactness, and for its price, too.
But, yeah, I'd open it up to check the solenoid for any lost connection. If it is a bad solenoid, they're undoubtedly easy to change out, if needed.
But I'd also suspect the pedal, too. And I'd connect the torch contact switch to see if it accuates the solenoid effectively, which would rule out the solenoid as the problem.
