Need info for arc air K2000 carbon arc torch
If anyone out there has a K2000 arcair torch, I need to know how many air holes it has and the diameter of the holes. I believe it only has 2 holes but I am not sure. The reason I need to know is that the K2000 is the only gouging torch that uses less compressed air than any other. I had a brand new one that I never used but when I retired I sold it ,thinking I would never need it. That was before I started my business. Now Arcair stopped making it. Now they only sell the K3000 as the smallest torch but it needs 22 cfm at 80 psi. The K2000 used 8cfm at 40 psi. I looked up orfice cfm to pressure on the web and for 2 holes they would need to be 9/64ths to flow 4cfm at 40 psi each. The K3000 has 4 holes so if I am wrong and the K2000 also has 4 holes they would need to be much smaller. If it only has 2 holes then I could plug 2 holes in the K3000 torch and be very close to what the K2000 was. Something else I would need to know is how far apart the holes are on the K2000.
