running 250ex off inverter

I just purchased a lathe for my home shop and it runs off three phase power. i purchased a inverter to run the motor but i only have one circuit of 220v and the inverter calls for only 15 to 20 amp breaker. could i run the 250 ex off the inverter or would that distort the current to much. Im tryin to firgure this out without buying an expansion fuse box so if anyone has any ideas it would help a lot

No you can't run the welder from the inverter. However, since you will probably not be using them at the same time, they could share the input circuit. It would have to be larger than 20 amp. You have a bunch of options. First run a 50 amp 220 circuit and run your welder and inverter off that. Another is to run a 50A or greater circuit to a sub panel in your work area, then you can split that into a 20 amp circuit for your inverter, and a 50 amp circuit for your welder, plus you could add other circuits as needed. A lot depends on the service you have, and other factors.
