So I was welding the other day and all of a sudden my pedal no longer triggered the welder u plugged and unplugged connections, still I had no luck. I decided to plug in the torch trigger and the welder ramped up so I'm sure the issue is in the pedal somewhere. My welder is two years old almost since I got it new. Is this an item that will be covered?

The replacement Everlast model is the low price option, the SSC is the better quality option, but the pedal is a pretty simple device, I'm sure you can fix yours for peanuts. It might be a simple mechanical problem, or if it is electrical, it sounds like either the switch part has gone bad, or perhaps a broken wire. A quick check with an ohm meter and you can sort it out in no time. You might as well take it apart and have a look before deciding.Quote:
