.docx isn't an issue with xp. Its an issue possibly with your version of word. Word 2007 should be fine...which works quite well with xp. I have XP and no problems.

I could not open it either, I still use Office 2003. There is free Microsoft add-on that will allow you to see it with older Word.

Thanks for the comments. I used Alibre Design A year or so ago, they had a sale on their pro edition - $200 or something like that, so I grabbed it and have been using it ever since. It works well and is easy to use. Alibre has since added a personal edition with less features for 100.

I finally found a source for the PM256 7 pin connectors on eBay, shipped from China, its 10 dollars and includes the base in addition to the cable plug. He may have just the plug, but I did not see it.
I ordered one a few weeks ago to test fit, it works, so here's the link
