just wanted to say hi and I'm glad I found this forum. I hope to learn a lot here.
a little about me... I am working on getting my A.A.S. degree in welding. after this semester I will need 1 or 2 more classes to finish it up.
also, I am looking hard at the Power Arc 300 machine. it may just be my first welding machine.......we will see :D

That's a good choice. Let me know if you want one...PM me and I'll get you up a price. The PowerARC 200ST is good too, but it doesn't have the adjustability, but it does do lift TIG.

Welcome aboard T.J.
Sorry for the delay. But either way you made it. The PowerARC 200ST is a strong machine and small. Keep us posted on your pick. Mark will get you a deal, click his username "performance" to send him a message.

thanks for the welcome. I appreciate it.
it will be a couple of weeks till my next payday but, I will get in touch with Mark when I find out what classes I will be taking this upcoming semester...... I might be needing a TIG. It all depends on how my schedule works out.
I need to do some research on lift TIG that Mark mentioned.
thanks again,
T.J.

Hello T.J.
I am also from Alabama, from the Northern part. I just bought a Powerarc 200st and I am well pleased. I welded today with some 3/32 7018, and this welder has a good arc on 7018. I have not use the lift tig function.
Mark is a good guy, give him a call and he will take care of you. He will answer any question you may have.
