1 year with 20DX
It's been a year since I took purchased the 200DX. I could not be happier with the machine. I was like many others on what machine/brand to spend my limited funds on. I do feel the advice I got from others on really determine on what I wanted to do. I don't have a professional shop, I don't make money with welding. I'm building a street rod so to spend the money on a machine that has features I wouldn't use, or the time to learn and remember those features. I was fortunate that the unit arrived un-damaged from shipping. I did have a small issue, I say small because I was able to fix the loose HF lug with the help of the CS without having to send the unit back. One other issue I had, the switch on the torch stopped working, Alex sent out another switch. I did order a 130 amp CW wp9 torch I use occasionally. One big improvement with the supplied wp26 torch, I cut off the plastic cable sleeve and replaced it with a much lighter nylon cable sleeve. I use the wp26 torch the majority of the time now. For me, a non-professional hobby welder, the 200DX has been the perfect machine. I still have room to grow with the machine and things I want to improve with my abilities.
Hope everyone has a happy, healthy holiday season.

I'm in a similar place with my 225LX. Had a couple of problems early on: the 4053 which is common on a batch of 225LX, a bad control board and a HF contact that was too close to one of the capacitors. The end of that was back in '11 after one year of ownership. Since then it works perfectly every time I use it.
I got it for work, which started out as just a bit of repair so we didn't have to call in a welder after hours or organize getting things to the weld shop. Since I got it, we started fabricating more and more stuff here and it got much busier! Also I have been able to conduct some extremely valuable emergency repairs; things that got done in a night that otherwise would have cost us several days of downtime.
For my use case the Everlast was perfect. Not too expensive (could never justify another brand for the initial plan), but had excellent service so it was hardly down at all. If it were to go down, I could call a welder to come in. If I was more dependant on it, I would have two.

I've owned a 200 DX for over 6 months. It's not had a single problem and welds aluminum like a dream. Every function works and the settings have full range without any deadband (turn the dial slightly without a change in amps etc). I weld several hours per week so it's holding up and allowing me to learn. Great peice of equipment.

I just finished another project with my 200 DX. It's an aluminum dog box for the bed of a Polaris. It's 48" wide, 24" deep by 24" tall. That's 32 feet of weld on 1/8" plate and not one problem with the machine. Built a tool box and over the fender gun/storage box and both had over 20 feet of linear welding. Great learning experience running the torch In the evenings after work for a few hours.
Since my bird dog can enter the garage thru a pet door, I have to clean up and pick up every night. The lightweight Inverter makes it easy to disconnect, pick it up and put it on a shelf so "Milo" can't chew it up.

Willida,
Glad all is working well for you. It's a great AC/DC machine.
Paul,
I recall those days.
Tensas,
If you have a camera (and some time) snap up some pictures for us all. Where are you located? If you can hunt, it sounds like a good place. Or do you take everything to a spot.

Mike,
My wife will download the pictures of the Projects. Sorry, i just couldn't figure out how to do it. I work in Houston and hunt in both Texas and Tensas Parish Louisiana. I've been overseas for years and have just returned to the US about 6 months ago. So it's weld, hunt and work!

I have had my 200DX since October, 2013.

I have been very happy with it. I am currently using it to build a trailer to haul firewood out of the woods with my ATV. The trailer will have walking axles with two tires on each side. Here's a pic of the completed axles.

It has been a worry free 2013 for my 200DX! I did not have many projects with it but when I needed to use it, it worked great, I could not be any happier!

I would love to see more pics of the torch. I have the older model, but I have a CK Worldwide torch.
