1/8 alum 250 ex settings
I had a class two years ago from HTP welding. They set up the 201 machine and I was welding with there supervision. Can you give me a base set up I will figure out the rest. I could use help from a pro. I want to use the pulse setting and weld a box.

I can tell you where I would start if I had a little more information.
First questions I have. What type filler? You are running straight argon? What type electrode (tungsten type)? Do you have a fresh stainless steel brush to clean the parts you are going to weld?
A lot of factors for aluminum.
If you want to PM me a phone number and good time to call (and timezone), I can give you a call tomorrow (Saturday).
Once you get dialed in, it would be nice if you post your results and photos.
There is a good intro on the web on weldingtipsandtricks.com.

Off to see part 3 and 4 as I did not know they where out.
See part 2 for general aluminum settings, but the questions I asked are still key for a good weld.

I have no PM from you. I think my point is you asked a question and you gave no info/details (or not all of them).
I am tech support for our units. No two people weld the same. But I will do that offline with you if you like.
I can help you with the welding and you can post your results?
