Get a roller guide or drag tips. For straight cuts I use an aluminum straight edge and drag the roller or tip against it... just allow for the distance between the straight edge and where the actual cut will be. Once you have the measurement you'll use that same offset every time. For short cuts and square tubing I use a speed square.Quote:

I haven't used an O/A torch in 23 years but I used one every day back then, cutting I beams and guardrail. For me plasma is faster and leaves a cleaner edge... I gotta use a straight edge or my cuts look like fido's butt.Quote:
