Be nice this is my first post
Ok i want a tig welder. At the moment it's between a 200dx and the 210ext not sure on the price of the 210ext yet.
Have never done any tig welding but am ok with mig and stick
As I’m in Australia our power is 240v single phase. I have 3 phase but might have to use it where no 3 phase is available
Any comments appreciated
Hey im in Aus too, Im getting the 210EXT more features than 210 dx.
I would guess the EXT is higher priced than the DX. I would say if you have never TIG'd, go with the DX. The dials are easy to use and it will weld just about anything you will need to weld. I bought the 250EX and I absolutely love this machine!! Very smoth arc and a breeze to use.

Well, they have almost sold out at that price. The HTP's don't offer as much as these do. No do Italian made V 205.

I would recommend contacting Everlast over there first as well.
On a choice, I to am waiting on an 210 EXT for personal use myself. I have never used the DX, have used the LX and EX since they came out. If I had a budget, I would probably go with the LX or DX. But the EX is top of the line for sure.
Also, I do like seeing all the knobs at ones over the digital, but I have not used the EXT yet. I can at a glance see all my setting, something to think about. DX, LX and EX have long track records as well.
I really can not see picking a bad one other than extra features you may never need.
Well it wont be a 210 @ $2350 in Australia I think i will be looking elsewhere :(

It's not all about price but most of the tigs are about $350 more than the us price but the 210 is $550
Ok everlast australia offered me a better price on a 210ext so i grabbed one:D
So what other bits and pieces should i be looking at getting ?
All i have is a bottle of argon
Tungsten, filler rod, misc torch parts, safety gear such as TIG gloves, stainless wire brush. All I can think of at the moment, kinda what's piled on top of my welder. If you want to go with a water cooled torch you will need to buy or build a water cooler or setup a constant loss cooling from your water supply.
