Hello,
I have been reading about your pulse and similar units. Your manual nor any posts explains how your pulse works and what each knob does. I know your unit is not a Synergic mig pulse so I am totally confused. From what i can deduce (pardon if im wrong). Is that its not really a pulse but more of spot/stitch control?
Is pulse voltage spot welding and stitch welding base voltage etc etc? If not please explain as its conusing.

No it's a pulse. Spot stitch is something completely different.
Just as with any pulse you have your pulse width (time on) and frequency controls.
Instead of pulsing amps, you are pulsing volts with MIG between to levels rapidly at a minimum of 20 hz up to 200 hz.
The pulse time on adjusts the time spent in the high voltage part of the pulse verses the low voltage part.
This is designed to pulse rapidly between spray and globular transfer, allowing the voltage to dip briefly down into the globular range long enough to cool off but desposit little if any metal. This in theory allows you to weld out of position with the unit.
The "synergic" mig is preprogrammed with various settings of the pulse width and frequency for any given setting. All it does is take away some of the science behind the pulse and give the operator a preset point of operation. Most of these migs have background menus that allow manual setting of the pulse as well, as in the Miller 350P.
To use the pulse dont you use a different gas from the 75/25. Is pulse only used in spray transfer?
Ideally? Yes. I use a little different blend for spray than many folks, but it works well with my ESAB. I use a C-18. Less than 20% CO2 is all that is really required with many welders, and is the technical limit. The c-18 still allows useful welding with non spray as well. In fact it is downright nice.
Pulse welding aluminum with a spool gun with the I mig 250P or 205P using 75%/25% Helium Argon has any one tried it, I was thing of get the 250P or 205P if it works other welders with pulse are double pulse not single pulse like the Everlast Mig Pulse.

Is any one using a spool gun on aluminum using a I mig 205P in pulse mode and how well does it work look at buying one, sorrry the 250P does not have a spool gun connection. The gas can be Argon or Argon Helium mix.Quote:

The online manual for this machine really isn't, it's for the iMIG 200, so there is no description for this machine. NEVER use 75/25 when welding aluminum. You can only use PURE argon. And DC+ just like the machine is set up.
You can change the polarity inside the welder by removing the right cover if I remember right.
I am referring to argon helium mix, someone said earlier in the post about using a mix gas for aluminum pluse with the spool gun
Argon only is perfectly fine. The mixes are more in line with TIG.
is my 250p supposed to have a - symbol in front of the amperage display the lcd shows -250 is that correct? could the plug be wired wrong, It is not welding good at all, like the polarity is wrong, same with the spoolgun on aluminum tried all kinds of settings and thicknesses and of course all the recommended settings. weld wire on spoolgun and mig gun wants to pile up on surface or go to spray arc and flatten out compleatly
