hello i tal with mike because i have a problem with the foot pedal i cant control the amps... i send pics of the pedal and he tell me sales send me the wrong pedal i have a 200dx and this is the pics of the pedal

I am not a rep... But it looks like that is the right pedal. You are supposed to adjust the knob for maximum welding power and the foot pedal will go from low to where the knob is set at.
Did you give it a try??? The 200DX uses a little different style pedal than the other models. Instead of controlling max power on the machine you control it with the pedal.
in the begining the pedal works fine but the problem now is when i have 5 or 10% of the pedal he throw me all the amps i try to fix/reset the pedal moving the belt inside the pedall like mike say me but the pedal dont works..
Attachment 7149looking at the pedal wonder if maby the wires in side pedal are shorted or came undone since lead go through pedal hole has nothing to keep it from keeping cable held in place sorta cheesy should have something to keep cable in place were it go through the hole , my pedal has plastic nut thing that holds the cable on my 250ex like the thing keeping lead in place like in pic
Are you sure that connector you are showing is for the footpedal and not for your torch switch?
A footpedal connector usually has at least 5 conductors: 3 for the pot(s), and 2 for the microswitch. The one you pictured only has 2 conductors. If that connector shown really is for you footpedal, it seems really odd. (and there is no way I can understand that it would work properly.)
PS - the word that Rodsmachineshop is looking for is I think "strain relief"
yes is a wrong pic... And is the torch conector pic sorry for that... The pedal have 7 pins anyway i cant weld with the pedal because he melt the tuxtens and make holes only with 5 10% foot pedal in.... I told my assistant to look the potentiometer when i touch the pedal and he see 213 amps.... Something is wrong with the pedal... Had anyone a similar experience???Quote:

That does not show the control on the side but you should be able to check out the potentiometer... Maybe check if the pedal slipped inside.

Everything here in this thread was covered days ago via email. The picture of the plug with only two pins is why I first told you that you had the wrong pedal or connector on the pedal and there must be 7 pins. And you needed to calls sales
After that you said wrong picture (just like here), I mentioned getting an ohm meter and checking 3-4 and 4-5 and range should be 0-24K and 24-0K range (since I assume it was an older 200DX).
Then we determined it was the potentiometer and someone you knew confirmed it as well and said they could replace it. And I asked you a couple times to call 877-755-9353, this was days ago. This thread has yielded you the same results as our emails.
How long has you had the unit? If the pedal is under warranty it will be covered.
everlast ship the welder 16 march 2012 and i get the welder on may two months later because i import the welder to mexico.... i know you tell me call to this phone but please understand me is difficult to me to talk in english but well... the pedal is now fixed with a high quality potentiometer and works fine i spend 50k on this..

Glad it is fixed. I would have mentioned emailing sales@everlastwelders.com as well. And we can (and have) used Google translate. Did not mention the Google part. Sorry about that. But glad you are up and running.
