2T/4T Finger Switch for new Torch?

I'm looking at purchasing a 20 series torch for my 250 EX. Everlast carries them at 25' for $179. I have found others out there for about half that price and with rubber sheaths vs. vinyl. Trouble is they don't come with a switch on the torch. Initial searching shows me multiple types of switches available (ie. North to South, Side to Side, On/Off, Momentary On/Off, etc...). Additionally I've seen these switches priced anywhere from $2 to $400. So for this newb, do you have any recommendations as to what sort of add on switch is recommended? I'm not looking at anything fancy, probably just something to control the unit in either 2T or 4T. Thanks very much for the help!

You should try calling Everlast to check the price. I just purchased a wp20 flex head 15' torch from them and am very pleased with it. I had noticed that the prices on Everlast's ebay shop were much lower than those posted on their web site. I also have a 250EX and I wanted to be sure these torches would plug right in with no adapters needed. I asked this question through ebay and their response was to call their sales department. I did and they answered my questions and gave me an even lower price than the ebay listing. It shipped out that day and I got it in a few days. As I said, I really like it. It's much smaller and lighter than the original torch and all the connections plug right in with no modifications or adapters needed. It has the finger switch, and although I usually use the foot pedal, I've practiced using the finger switch and it seems much easier than with the larger torch. You can hold it like a pencil and still easily activate the switch. I'm also just learning tig and not too coordinated at that. I'm not sure my welds look any better, but it sure is more comfortable and I fell like I have a lot more control.

Keep in mind, if you buy elsewhere, you may have to mix and match the end fittings to make them work. Could nickle and dime your "savings" right out the door. Just saying, make sure it will connect.

Yup. The torch I'm looking at is less than $100 and EL has theirs listed for $179. I can buy a few fittings for $79! But I'll call nonetheless and see what they can do!

I'll call. But the price I'm quoting is for a 25' and rubber covered. I believe all of your torch leads are vinyl covered. In any case, I'll call Monday to see what we can do.
