I have a donated bottle of Nitrogen. Besides filling tires what else is it good for??? Local welding store is calling it a rental tank. So when the tank is empty we are thinking of just dropping it off unless we can figure out a trade.

Nitrogen cylinder valves are CGA 580, the same as argon and argon-CO2 cylinders. Can your LWS draw a vacuum on it, relabel it, and refill it with your preferred gas, if they won't trade it?
No, This size tank is considered a rental tank. (I think a 200 or 250 CF pretty big) So if you walk in with it and you do not have a contract, they just take it as theirs. No swap, no refill, no nothing. My buddy picked it up at a garage sale and it is full. I guess the guy that had it owned a shop. He used it for cleaning out AC systems. Looks like he will lose the money he paid for it, but it wasn't much.
I have been following the other threads about how different LWS handle tank sizes differently.
