I've made one out of expandable sleeving:

If it was higher melting temp material, I'd be great, but it has melted in one spot of two where some molten hot slag has hit it. I have secured it to the end of the handle recently with some high voltage black rubber tape.
Also, Zoama also did something similar more recently in his similar CK "superflex" torch with switch setup, here:

Out of curiosity, what would a new cable cover cost? (sometimes it's good to see if this is cost efficient).
Cheers,
Mike
Those covers are sweet. I should have thought about something like that was I decided I didn't like the bulkiness of the factory covers. I have also considered removing the torch switch as I only use it when I physically can't use the pedal like laying on the ground under a car :O I too am curious to about what the cost was and where you found it if your willing to share.
Mine cost $20 but could probably be found cheaper. I wanted this type over a standard cover because it doesn't cost you any flexibility. Standard covers get consistent big wrinkles in them and hang up on the edge of tables and such.
The last I checked around $1oo.oo for leather
