FIRST PROJECT-Qcksnake-Porting Stand
I decided to use tubing from some left over roll cages since i have to put a chrome moly cage in my 2011GT and another to do for a 2003 GT. I am trying to get practice around tubing welds and base to tubing. as you can see i still need a lot of practice.
These pieces are mild steel drag race tubing. I will get some chromemoly and the correct filler when i get better with the steel.
Anyway after welding this contraption up i started to think about what i could do with this scrap to make it useful........

I came up with this. I do a bunch of head porting, intake porting, Cobra and lightning supercharchers, etc. etc. SO right now i use a set of bent angle iron pieces with a stud welded to the end to elevate the workpiece. This should work much better:

I still have to clean it and paint it but this took me about an hour and its simple.
The tubing makes it a challenge to make a nice weld. I need a smaller torch head.(got to get hold of oleg and order one)
Let me know what you think.
