i havent even got my welder yet, but since the black friday thing happened, i couldnt help myself and bought a power plasma 60. i knew thats the one i wanted, so dealing with alex made it easy. i think by the time he picekd up, to the time i hung up, was not even 5 minutes. super easy to deal with. i cant wait to start playing.
I have a power plasma 60 and an I-mig 250P on the way from the last contest (used the greenbucks option).
I've had mine for a year, you will LOVE it.
Could you give an example of how long consumables last. Like cutting (material/thickness) at (amps/ pressure) I get (feet/inches) out of a set with the (A81/WSP60) torch.Quote:

Its going to depend upon the torch that you have. That said, it also will depend upon the supplier of the consumables. Our usual supplier for replacement consumables last much longer than the stock cons in many circumstances.

5 months was right, but my recollection about the rest was a bit off.
It was at weldingweb and not cnczone, and it was "5 months of plasma ownership".
He did not say anything about cnc cutting with it, or how much he uses it.
I am sorry for the confusion, and possible let down.
I should have started a new thread rather than filling jerky's thread with a bunch of generic if's, maybe's and depends. I was only looking for - I used this for this and these are my results - hands on, down and dirty, real world results.Quote:

Should have mentioned, I just got the stock WSD-60, I think you made the right choice upgrading. The stock torch is OK, but it has no roller standoff and it usually cuts with a slight bevel. The angle varies a bit when I change consumables, so I'm guessing it is an issue with the alignment of the electrode and nozzle.
I just got some of the smaller nozzles (.9-40A &1.0-50A) for it too and noticed a huge difference in the amount of slag over the stock 1.2. It also seems to make a much cleaner cut too(either that or I am finally getting practiced enough to do 1/4 well).
