S45 Plasma Torch O-Ring

I have the PP50 with the S45 torch. The other day, I unscrewed the black retaining cup on the torch to change out the electrode & nozzle, and I noticed that the O-Ring (the black one pointed out in the picture) had broke and fallen out. I’ve cut with it since it broke and all still works fine, but the o-ring is there for a reason and I’m sure I’m leaking air through the top now. Can someone point me in the right direction of where to purchase one of these? I’m guessing it needs to be rated for high heat. Can someone from Everlast help me out. Size, diameter, heat rating? The o-ring that broke from mine was red.

Thanks Everlast. Your system has been working great for me. This is the first issue that came up in 1.5 years(other than air quality issues). I use it mainly now for CNC. I know if business picks up some, I’ll be in the works to upgrade to the PP60C.

I'm curious about the answer as I saw a post that implied not all S45 parts are equal/interchangeable.

It should be standard as far as that goes. You can order from Trafimet USA.

Are there aspects of the torch that aren't standard, or is it just that some replacement parts aren't within spec?

Standard for what torch? S-45's are made by many companies after the trafimet design. The parts interchange. However, some components may be made slightly different. I saw a post the other day about someone trying to get some cons from tractor supply...But the reason they would not interchange is that they were likely buying them for the S-25, a smaller torch used on the smallest hobarts, that are in stock in some of the smaller tsc's.

Just got a memo from the office...the orings are in stock from us.

I guess that's the crux of my question, should any S-45 parts (tips, standoffs, etc) work on my PP50 torch?

Tips, electrodes, swirl rings, cups, yes. Shouldn't be a problem, unless there is a problem with the consumables themselves being off.
