Noobie here. I've got a Power Tig 250 EX on order. While I'm waiting for it to arrive, I'm building a cooler. Have got just about everything I need, but I need to know what type of fittings to use to interface with the torch and where to get them. I want it to be plug and play with the torch when it arrives. Sorry if this has already been answered.

Two 1/8" barb fittings. The torch just has two bare hoses with nothing on the ends. That is at least how mine was.

Here is what I used and seem to be acceptable to those I refered to.

I used the first and third listing 60464 and 60466 for my torch and cooler hoses. The cooler hoses were 1/4" ID and 3/8" OD
also the clamps I used are on ebay type in this auction number to see them 160240743219 and auction number 150211757636 for the cooler hoses
I also used them on the pressure gauge so I could install/remove it easly.

I was thinking of building my own tig cooler. I still might but I really like the idea of the direct connect to the back of the Powertig 250EX for the cooler they sell. It is on when the tig machine is on and that takes one more thing to think about out of the equation. If I can find a 240 volt small electric motor to run a pump, then I may still build it. But for the price, I can't see building one right now because the price of the parts is about where I would be if I bought a new cooler from Everlast. Plus the one from Everlast is green, 240 volts and looks cool too! I know the coolers are hard to come by so I still might build one if I can't wait. Right now I'm cooling with the old stand by garden hose.
Thanks guys, that what I needed to know. I lucked out and found a carbonator locally for $50, so with that and some of the other junk I've got laying around, I should end up with right at a $100 into it total. At that I can't not do it.

Its a WP-18 and easy to find consumables too. Works fine with my DIY cooler.

My first cooler was when I bough a complete new carbonize that gave me the pump, motor, and tank but it was expensive about $190. With shipping.
The next one I built I bought the part separately about $120 for pump and motor.

On the procon pumps, great pumps.
I was shocked when I got a procon pump from Grainger no less (local and in stock) for $90. They were $135+ on the net new.
I needed to repair a cooler with a bad set of blades. I figured all the searching online and pray it works, if I could find one, $90 was fine by me and a warranty too.
Check your freon levels if your cooler is not providing you with cold water any longer. If it appears that there is a problem with Freon, you need a professional to fill the freon. Only those with appropriate certifications are legally licensed to handle freon.

I think they are talking water coolers for a TIG torch, not a refrigerated air dryer for plasma.
