I ordered a CK tig from Arc-zone for my PU205 and Looks like i'm missing something? I tried to call them back but they're prob closed for the evening.
Is there such a adaptor that connects the torch plug to the dinse?

Did you unscrew the front ring on the dinse and pop it open ?

Yes I did! and the connector from the torch dosn't fit the fitting inside the dinse insulator.
Looks like they gave you the wrong part by mistake. Just give them a call tomorrow, I'm sure they'll sort it out.
Interesting... since my primary contact was through email with Evan at Arc-zone, I thought i'd shoot him an email about my probs... ehhh... no reply! I can't say ive been remotely impressed with their customer service from the beginning and definately won't be going back to them for any future purchases.

Like they said, let us know how what happens with this. I would also like to know how you like the torch if you get it to work. I was thinking about getting one with the lines in one piece like that but opted to torches from everlast so I did not have to deal with trying to adapt a torch to fit right now. I may buy another later with the flexible round lines.
I called Arc-Zone with my card in hand and ready to order, yet I was given what I felt was the run around. I didn't actually get to make my order until almost a week later, and at the time I tried to be patient and thought maybe its their process of handling orders. I'm pretty busy during the week.. so finally, I got fed up with waiting and emailed a list of what exactly I wanted and told him to call me so I could give him my credit card number.
Waited and waited that day... no call. I actually had to call him back and give him my credit card number.
After all said and done he didn't even get all of my order, because I told him to throw in a balistic cord cover, sent me the wrong part, and to top it off no reply back, STILL!
This weekend I went to a local shop and they called CK and found out which part I needed. So I gave them my money and ordered the correct Dinse connector fitting and a cord cover.
Well, yesterday I was finally able to get my new torch hooked up thanks to a local shop.
I got the trimline 200amp torch w/ the superflex line and leather cover... ohhh its soo nice!
Regarding Arc-Zone, out of the blue... they did happen to call and leave me a message Wednesday saying that they where going to send out an adaptor of some sort.
So... if anyone is looking to get a CK torch for their PU205 unit, you're going to need a 25mm AKA 3/8" dinse, and depending on the torch... i'm pretty sure all 200amp CK torchs have the 5/8" compression fitting on the dinse end of the torch hose.
And, if you go with a CK clamshell dinse adaptor you will need the unit w/ 3/8" dinse with 5/8" compression fitting for your torch.
I wasn't able to find any info when I was looking to upgrade my torch... so I hope this helps somebody.

There are two different versions of the aircooled CK Trimline 200 amp torch. A TL-210, which uses an "inert arc B" machine end fitting (with 5/8-18 threads on the nut) and a TL-18, which uses a larger "inert arc C" end fitting (7/8-14 threads on the nut.) From your picture, it looks like you got the TL-18?
Even if you got the TL-210, it looks like you would have needed to adapter to make it couple to that other DINSE adapter you pictured (maybe a Western Enterprises AW-430: http://www.westernenterprises.com/en.../fit_inert.php )
I love my CK trimline TL-210. I think it's the perfect torch for my 200 amp @ 60% duty cycle machine, (even in AC mode, with the AC balance set at 20% DCEP.) I feel like it might even be able to handle a 225 amp @ 60% duty cycle machine adequately.
If you want to make it even easier to maneuver, get a stubby gas lens collet body setup for it, which will effectively adapt a WP9/WP20 style cup onto it. Be aware however that the stubby can overheat a little easier (I've destroyed one of mine...) but that torch can take quite a bit of punishment.
The superflex definitely is the way to go. My superflex cable is however a black color, unlike yours which is obviously red (or maybe maroon.)
I got the TL210 torch w/ 5/8" nut. The problem with the CK clamshell dinse adaptor that was sent to me was the wrong part number all together. So to fix that, my local welding supply store called CK and ordered up the nut that goes inside of the CK clamshell dinse adaptor w/ 5/8" female portion for the torch hookup. They had it to me in 2 days.
I'm really loving the torch though... its been great on pipe so far!
Well after your experience I will avoid ordering anything from Arc-Zone. Thanks for sharing and hopefully avoiding other members from having bad experiences with them. Has anyone has a good experience?

Wow, that adaptor on the left is not even close.. Do they even know the products that they are selling to people?
