I am looking for an easy way to be able to switch from 75 /25 to Argon when I mig Aluminum, the Argon is hooked to my tig and both share the same cart. Id love to see pictures and get a description of your setup. I hate the thought of doing the hose clamp thing.
A Y valve from Western will work. About 50.00. Available through almost any welding supply store. Simple to hook up and use. Need two regulators though.

Sounds like you could use a compressed air, quick disconnect fitting. To switch the gas, you'd need to just unplug one gas hose, and plug in another. Readily available, inexpensive... (Would need a flowmeter/regulator on each gas bottle.)
I did what jakeru did and used 1/4" quick disconnect fittings on my 2 regulators. Its a pretty slick way of doing it.
I HIGHLY discourage the use of quick connectors...Why? Because the sudden depressurization will introduce moisture into the lines. It'll collect around the mouth of the fittings and go unnoticed and will be introduced as things are coupled and decoupled. Stick with a static fitting setup with less movement. Open and shut a valve and that's it. Also quick couplers have a nasty way of interfering with flow consistency and accuracy as the spring on ball connections can offer variations of degrees of opening. Automotive types, tend to wear and leak over time, with many repeated cycles.

Not sure how it would be much different from the quick connector on the front of my 200DX tig, or different from pulling a hose off of a barb and re-attaching.
