Does anyone have the diameter of this part of the plasma torch. I will probably be ordering a multiprocess welder and I will be wanting to make a circle cutter but I need to know the diameter of this part.

Cannot remember the exact size, but I do remember that drilling a 1 inch hole is sloppy for a fit, you need it 40 or so thous smaller to get a nice snug fit, the easyist way to make a circle cutter is to drill a 13/32 hole in a piece of 1/2 inch plywood and stick the tip in, that gives a nice snug fit on the tip and maintains your 1/8 cut height, simple,fast and cheap to make. I have buit a number of different types, the 13/32 hole in a piece of wood is faster than machining a metal one

thanks thurmond, I will post pictures of what I made, basically it will use a magnetic base and two shaft collars and a rod. When I make it I will post it in the project section.
