Project 1 from Morgaj1

Here is my version of a welding table. I searched and took the elements from several people's tables that I liked and incorporated them with my ideas. The frame is made with 2", 11ga tubing and the top is 1/2" bar stock. Wheels are from Harbor Freight and rated at 350# each. It was welded with a Hobart 187, with 0.030 wire runnin 75/25 gas. Cuts on the thick metal made with Everlast PP50 and tubing cut with Dewalt abrasive chop saw. I haven't made up my mind whether to paint it or not...

Nice Chop saw! I have the same one:cool:, oh yea the welding table is also very nice! how thick is that plate?

Dang, I shoulda' made 'slots' or spaces in the top of my table cuz now it's just another place that gets cluttered up.

It's 1/2" plate. I wanted 3/4", but my steel yard did not have any...

Will you be able to replace those plates in the future? That's a nice looking table.

Thanks. The plates are just tack welded in place so I can replace them easily if needed.
