How do I wire my 4prong 240v connector to a 3prong 240volt connector? The 4prong twist lock connector has red, black, white, and green wires. I want to run my 200dx and power arc 200 from my generator.

Sean,
Is your genset clean power?
Make sure it is.
Got to say that.
The plug you have should have white as a neutral. Connect the black to black, red to white, and green to green. Ignore the white wire. This is typical of most gensets, so don't worry about the red wire mismatch. However to be 100% sure, you'll need to check for which wires read 110V to ground, then measure across the 110V to make sure you get 240V or so. Hook these to the hot wires.
Sean,
If you are still confused, give out support line a call.
Again, Green to Green, Black to Black, and "welder White wire" to the other hot leg (not the generator white neutral wire) on the generator. Red according to you first post, so welder white to generator red.
Also, make sure you have good clean power from the generator and it is large enough to handle the inrush current.
I got it! Thanks for all the help! I had capped off the red wire, but I never tried it; I thought it would be better to ask before I tried it.
