Hi I was wondering if you guys are planning to put up any demonstration videos for your IMIG series welders. I'm curious as to how well they perform.
Well,
Oxide,
I know its easy to say...But they do weld better than anything you've probably tested or trained on. The inverters are smooth and the arc force control makes them even better. I don't know of any videos out there. I do have a 160/200 size, but maybe there are some customers out there that would make a quick vid of their units.
I'll see what I can do tomorrow at work. What specifically would you like to see?
I was wondering about their performance welding on thicker materials plus other things like arc stability etc. I'm just curious because after I buy a power arc 200 I most likely will have my eye on an IMIG unit.
I will see what I can do. I have the 205 non pulse unit and I have been extremely happy with it. It was pretty easy to set up, Just feed the initial run through the gun with the tip screwed off. Drive roll tension seems pretty forgiving. I had to make a little spacer out of pvc in order to put a 10 lb roll in it, but no problem. Took like 10 seconds and works perfectly. I'll try to run a few pieces of heavy scrap and video it if I am not too busy today at work.
Thanks that would be appreciated :)
yo oxide where are you from bro ?
Me? I'm from the most boring capital city in the U.S.A Springfield Illinois. I'm currently attending Midwest Technical Institute (a school for pipe welding and pipe fitting plus other vocational training).
I'm hoping to upgrade to an IMIG later this year after I get rid of my baby Lincoln Electric machine. So, any real world updates on the IMIG product line would be awesome too...
:)
Whats weird is that you can find more some pictures of the new units that have never been shown on this website on other forums.
Any chance of a video? How does arc force work?
I would love to see some video of the Everlast Mig Welders. I have my Millermatic 211 for sale and plan to make a third Everlast purchase.
I would really love to see a demonstration video of those inverter units! (They seem very interesting)
I will try to get some video up, but what I am welding right now is thin stuff. I have the Imig 200 and it is a sweet welding machine. I like the fact it is lighter than my Millermatic 211. It is easier to lug around for jobs for sure! It runs better off my generator since it's an inverter. They will lay a very nice weld.
They weld actually very well. I would say better than any non-inverter MIG I have used over the years. The main advantage is it's light weight, like Sean mentioned. Our prices don't hurt either.
What kind of demo are you looking for?
I think KenWhite has one (this is an older thread) and there's a recent thread on the IMIG-200 and arc force (in MIG mode) on the forum. You can search for it, people covering where they like it set, also extra things you can do with it.
Just make sure when you are done stick welding to set it back for MIG or you might be changing or fixing the tip next time you want to MIG something.
