I have a number of welders. One of my favourite is my everlast 140STI unfortunately while using it on a big generator while welding up my John Deere manure spreader in the field -- it died. Dirty Power seems to have been the problem. New generators avoid that problem so I will have to buy one Inspecting the 140STI we found that there is a capacitor in position #C5 on the Board. I have a Everlast 230EX which I weld Aluminium with . I have never welded stainless , can somebody give me the basic settings I need to get started i.e. pulse or no pulse ,neg. earth or pos. earth, ac or dc, balance etc.
