Before setting up your welding equipment understand the functioning of each component for safety purpose and allows you to produce a better product.
• Check all the cables and replace them if necessary before starting a new welding project.
• Plug your power source, to find out which type of welder you are using, into the appropriate electrical outlet. Arc welding power source provides either an alternating current (AC) or a direct current (DC) using either positive or negative electrode.
• Connect electrode lead from welder to the insulated electrode holder.
• Place proper electrode in the electrode clamp.
• You can complete the circuit from work lead to base metal with the help of a welder.
