Welding is the process wherein, two or more work pieces are joined together under high pressure and electricity with the help of a molten solution and certain welding tools. Thus it is very clear that in order to create a strong joint between the work pieces, large heat energy and electricity along with precision is required to create a perfect weld.

The basic idea behind welding is a simple electric circuit where you attach the earth clamp to one end of the metal pieces being welded and then as you bring the electrode closer to that place of the metal, you would establish an arc.

Thus you need the earth as well as the electrode to touch the work which completes the basic circuit. This step in welding process is very significant because if the earth connection is not good enough it can affect your welding procedure and experience. You might get injured badly as well in case there are any short circuits during the welding execution. So grind the small area around the metal piece and then establish the earth connection to avoid further issues while welding.

These fumes are likely to do a lot of medical complications in a normal person’s body. The stick welding or the shield metal arc welding (SMAW) is one of the most used methods of welding techniques. We call SMAW as stick welding just because of the shape of the electrode that looks like a stick, which is responsible for the crust formation of the weld. When you want to make sure that your weld must turn out to be the perfect one, there are five important things that you will have to keep in your mind and welders call it as CLAMS. The full form of this jargon goes like this…

C – Current setting
L – Length of arc
A – Angle of travel
M – Manipulation
S – Speed of travel

These five points are the stuffs that you will have to take care off while carrying out the welding process, if you need that perfect weld. Technique used in Gas Metal Arc Welding:

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) otherwise called the MIG welding is partly an automatic process where the welding arc is constantly fed with shielding gas and wire electrode. This makes the welding technique very easy and simple when compared to TIG welding where the welding torch and filler wire is held in both hands which making it a chaotic process. MIG welding is made easy with proper positioning of the welding gun by maintaining an appropriate stickout distance. Not to forget the gun’s orientation, it should be at an angle of 45 degrees and 90 degrees for a fillet welding and a flat surface welding respectively, with the travel angle being vertical. A Guide Towards Magnetic Rotating Arc Welding

Magnetic rotating arc welding is also named as magnet arc welding or magnetically impelled arc butt (MIAB) welding that is developed in 1970’s.
