Default Binzel Type mig gun question

I have a new I 200 mig with the Binzel type gun and the contact tip is recessed in the nozzle by more then 1/8 inch, 0.159 to be exact. I cannot figure out how to get the even (+ -) with the end of the nozzle.
I guess I am missing the obvious but any help would be appreciated.

The tips is supposed to be recessed. This is not a design flaw or defect. Put a longer tip in and you will not be happy...trust me.

A longer tip and you will lose the needed gas for a good weld, as well the burnback will probably mess up the contact tip.

The tip is recessed, as Mark said, that is normal.

I have an AK25 gun on an Imig 205, I got a seperate cup and used the lathe to knock off a little over .100 thous. to get into corners and 90 degree fillets
You need to up the gas a little and watch for burnback,,, on normal welds I change back to the original or just slide it a head slightly, seems to work for me. Everybody holds the gun different and moves at a different pace, what ever makes you happy is whats counts.
