like my i mig 205 . when i weld thin sheet metal find amps are a little high so i made a tool to lower amps at ground clamp .

no pictures yet ,will take some and post them..what kind of tool did you make to lower the amps?
i took a old welder ground clamp and stuck a 6 inch piece of 1/8 stainless steel welding rod in end were a normal cable would go . i clamp it to my thin the sheet metal and hook my welder ground clamp to end of stainless steel rod sticking out of old ground clamp drops the amps about 20 or so . works like a resister to lower amps . just don't touch welding rod when done welding will be hot

Will measure the 200 and 205P tonight and see which way I go. The IMIG 200 sits a lot these days. Might get it on the back of the truck working for us again. Thanks.

Rod,
Did you get that .6mm ebay roller for the 205 or 205P. If so how did it work. Have not measured mine yet.
Wish he had .6mm and 1.0mm solid and a .8mm and .9mm grooved.
FYI (roughly, actually a little higher on thousandths): .6mm -.023 .8mm =.030 .9mm= .035 1mm= .040

My 2 cents. IMIG200, small powerful, just perfect for most jobs. 205P would be next pick, but heavier and more money. They do not fail often, but you can email sales@everlastwelders.com and see if there are an repaired units. Just a shot.

It's likely that the .023 roller for these units will not work well, because of the fact that our wire speed is much slower than what is needed to optimally feed this small of wire.

If you're having wire feeding problems with the smaller gauge size you may just want to replace your double roller power feed with a four roller version like in the I-MIG 250P or you could use a spool gun or push pull type gun.
