    I'll go ahead and say I'm against the grinding diagram in section 2. I personally grind AWAY from the rotation of the wheel. If it grabs in the configuration shown, it will try to kick that tungsten back at you, possibly into your hand. There was a thread over at weldinbweb just a few days ago where a guy shot a tungsten through the palm of his hand, most likely from a similar thing.

    I agree with you, which is why I reversed the rotation on my small dedicated tungsten grinder.

    Who would even suggest to grind on the high side It's just common sense that it could be dangerous that way....
    I try to gring in a straight line most of the time but there are times I just slap it on the side of the grinding wheel for a quick touch up.
