Everlast "Dream Cart" - Under Contruction

Agree with the larger bottle suggestions maybe 125 cf+ and moving the back wheels in for space. The middle shelf could be taller to accommodate a cooler if you ever wanted one in the future. The WC300 dimensions were given to me (I forget by who) as L20"xW10.5"xH14.5". Cable holders would also be nice. I don’t fully understand the pivot because at 30” you should be able to see the display just fine. I thought angling your machine was good on low carts to see the display, so if I am missing something let me know. Good luck with the cart and post pics of the build.

When I built my cart http://www.everlastgenerators.com/fo...y-Welding-Cart I mounted the 10" tires forward so they would be beneath the weight of my 125cuft tank. Because that raised the cart up another 1/2" due to the axle being welded beneath the cart frame, I had to weld some u-channel standoffs to mount my caster plates on. Casters were previously 5" height. Worked out fine. I made more space between middle and top shelf so it would fit two pieces of equipment. Still have lower shelf space for cables, etc.

I agree that the casters do not have to be locking. Once you have a loaded cart with welder and tank, the cart won't be moving on its own.

My son and I are both 6'5" tall.

Anybody know off-hand what the height and diameter of a 125CF? Diameter is the most important as I will need to adjust the rear foot and cage dimensions and also the capture device. THANKS!

I think the 125cf cart I have is right at 7" diameter. From what I researched awhile back most tanks are 7" up thru 125cf, then they get wider. Here's a chart I just found: http://wagnerweldingsupply.com/pdfs/cylsize.pdf

I have one of those...Way too small. My 200DX doesn't really fit on it on its own (I have a small nylon strap around it to keep it from falling off).

I haven't welded anything in about 15 years. What fun would it be to put together a cart from Harbor Freight? Like I said, I've got some spare time coming up this spring.

Yea... I stopped in and thought I would get one... Nice price... But after looking at it it was about knee high and as sturdy as a cheap tv tray. I think if you leaned on it it would collapse. Not something I wanted to tie a pressurized tank to.
