This contest was from last year.... did it reopen and I missed that post? I would have figured if Oleg started a new contest it would have been started in a completely new thread.

It is a good motivation to get some projects done when I look through the categories and remember stuff that either needs makin' or fixin'.

I like the extra traffic when there's a contest... it's a kinda slow without one.

You can say that again! I only log on a few times a week now and nothing seems to be happening here. To the untrained eye, it would appear that the contests hold this forum together and keep things exciting. I think I'm going to be filling my Argon bottle today just for good moral.

Everlast 160STH-Welding away with delight! Big stuff, small stuff, all stuff...well, almost! I need an A/C capable machine now and a plasma cutter too! A few more amps wouldn't hurt either!

    Milwaukee Porta Band
    Bosch 4-1/2" grinder

Juki sewing machine (yes I know sewing is for girls)

The U.S. economy is in a state of emergency....We have no time for common sense!
Step back...I've got a welder and I'm not afraid to use it!

I'm ready for another contest since I'll have some projects this time. I'd have more to contribute without the catagory limitations. I'm sure it's the same for others.

I am waiting for my 255ext to start some new projects. It would be nice to be able to include old ones if they are large in size. One of my projects is a huge project that takes a ton of time.

I'm sorta in a rut too, I'm not doing much welding at the moment, so don't have much to post about. Plus, the forum doesn't load pages for me about 95% of the time so I pretty much gave up trying to even be a lurker.

It sure seems like that. Time to figure out a few new projects for the next one, though.

I had a hard time loading pictures takes about 7 to 8 minutes for just two pictures and some times they will not even load I have to reload them. The forum runs well some time then real slow the next time and page to page fast then slow.

I've found the forum to be horrendously slow as well--part of the reason I quit getting on here as much (that and the green makes my head hurt, lol)

    May be better by now.

I was going to say that the slow loading of the forum has been gone for a little while now.

I must be pretty lucky. I've only experienced infrequent timeouts - maybe once every three to four weeks.
