Thread: Welding/Plasma Cutting Table

    Default Welding/Plasma Cutting Table

Look what I found my work throwing in the dumpster today:

It is 2'x6'. I will probably be putting a 2'x4' sheet of steel on the top of one side and use the grates for plasma cutting. I will also be putting a welder mount on the table and putting it on top of casters. I will have a cad drawing up soon.

I'm getting ready to build my bench for welding and cutting. When I called to price a 3+6+1/4 piece of steel they want 250 bucks for it. I'm gonna have to find something like you found to make mine with.

I priced some 1/4" through online metals it was a little cheaper. Check the scrap yards some of them get drops from steel companies.

I am looking forward to seeing how this table takes shape. I think you have a good Idea going and you lucked out with this find.
