Welcome aboard Thompson_Row, not sure what part you are referring too?
Trailer looks good, paints nice.
But it's a $5000 fine from DOT (even with no numbers on the vehicle), last check here...

Welcome the4th. That is a great combo. I have had two of the 250EX units for over 3 years. I have our digital unit as well, but always seem to go to the 250EX. The power is great, plenty of easy...
We have done many trailer and the tongues, all MIG. Just did one for a guy that moved to Il. With his life and tools all loaded on it. I talked to him a couple days after he left, he made it no...
Now I have to ask. Is it a "2013" 200DX? They all weld the same, but nice welds either way. It's more the person holding the torch :).
Thanks for the info Duncan, sure you'll be getting some US calls. I'm all set here myself, stubby with gas lens on the WP20 and WP18. But I am sure there are a lot of TIG guys that would like to...
The Harbor Freight ones are real, but the price is a joke. However, if it was a Sat/Sun and you had a cutting job and no consumables, it is an option. Best to always have plenty on hand.
Welcome JohnG
The MTS gets is processes. MIG with flux and Stick will be good for outside in the wind type welding. And with a spool gun aluminum is an option too.
Duncan, do you have a rough idea on price to US customers? Also, are these stubby only, no gas lens?
It was TIGdepot not weld.com, I just looked. Also note there are some that have one collet and collet holder per size and some with a universal collet holder. The universal would seem like less...
There are kits under $65 ready to go. google "gas stubby 17H" and you should find it, they take paypal.
Make sure it fits your torch. He lists what it fits. Also weldingcity.com.
Local...
Water cooler is a very good idea if you are only doing aluminum. I use both a 210EXT and 250EX. I love the 210EXT, but have hung on to the 250EX for the little extra power (250EX is 3 years old),...
On the white powder, do you mean the cleaning from the balance? Is it a haze around the weld. Again, pictures would really help. See if the balance changes it any.
Balling, maybe bump the gas a...
And make sure you have post from running and hold it over the end of the weld until it stops to help shield and avoid a crater.
JakeRu has many good threads here, you might want to look at others...
Make sure ground is in the + plus side. Argon at 8Lpm should be fine. Generally with aluminum start with balance at 1 o'clock and hertz at 11 o'clock. Adjust a little each way for your takes. Can...
Welcome aboard Brian and best of luck in the new fab shop. Post up projects if you get some time. Maybe some Jeep pics, I have some old pics in the gallery.
The switch does not know the amps. So no a problem there. Maybe splice a little in on the next cut. How long have you had it, have you contacted sales? ext 201
These are pictures from March 2010. But still apply today if you want to hook up the pot on the 200 series. Open, remove two screws from pot, flip it over, break the power wire, put on common and...
Reading the OP, not too much can be added, he did his homework and answered his own questions pretty much. The 256 might be OK, but I have never been a muilti-process person (one breaks they all...
You don't have to put a big spool in it. Still portable.
Also, at 250 amps, the generator will have to be larger too handle it. We use the IMIG-200 for the mobile work, that and a spool gun are...
The seats look tight in the shot where you have them both in, but they should be fine.
Did he CNC the gussets? You could cut by hand with a jig-saw or plasma and grind them clean if he takes...
WOW, found a black one for $205. That is a giant lens.
Snap up a picture of the view window if you can. Was a gift, prize or what did it set you back?
Yep, that's perfect. Or how I have mine and it works great, even do lite painting with it.
Compressor, filter, trap, cutter. When you see water in the trap time for a new filter. Or get the ones that change from blue to pink, cheap, easy to use, disposable (or reusable).
ESAB University as well. And weld.com and not sure if weldguru.com is still around. But bar non, Jody's are very very good..
